"Where am I right now?"
Think of a person who matters to you: a face, a memory, a presence. Without forcing anything, let whatever you feel for them rise up.
Then widen that circle. Think of everyone, known or unknown, who contributes to your life every day. Let gratitude settle in, simply.
You are never alone in carrying your life. Others, before you and around you, make it possible.
Now that you are anchored in love, let's discover together how to move forward better with others.
The diagnostic: best done together
This seed is particularly well suited to a shared diagnostic: invite a friend, a family member, or your whole team to take the Doshas test. The point is not to compare who is "right," but to look together at how to cultivate love, in yourself as much as in the other person.
Understand
"What's really at play?"
Putting love into your heart
Because this is what allows us to respond to major challenges, and to carry out projects that answer vital needs. To get there, we need to be able to do it together, which means cooperating.
And to cooperate, we need love. Love for ourselves, so we can cooperate with ourselves. Love for others, so we can cooperate with them. Love for life, so we want to take care of it and take responsibility for it: for life, for the planet. To develop this love, we first need to put love into our own heart, to be in contact with what is precious, beautiful, vulnerable, fragile: to accept it, to take care of it, and to recognize, respect, admire, and love difference, within the unity of all life.
What does this look like in practice?
On a very concrete level, this cooperation can play out within teams, within families. When there is diversity within these teams, with different constitutions, different doshas, we can look at the complementarities, but also, where relevant, at the places where friction arises. And we can look for ways to facilitate positive, constructive interactions at certain moments in a project, when facing difficulties or conflicts.
It is because there is love, because there is cooperation, that we can move forward, and set out on the adventure of meaningful projects.
What, from the perspective of Ayurveda and yoga?
Ayurveda and yoga offer the most important insight for understanding why it is essential to work together, and why this is in fact the most natural thing, if we observe nature: everything in it is interdependent. There are indeed different elements, different individuals, but the individual lives thanks to others.
A society survives because we are social beings, interdependent and reliant on one another. Living together is what life itself intends. Living in isolation makes us ill, even though a certain amount of autonomy, individuality, or solitude can be healthy, as an experience, or a way of living at particular moments. But the great rule for being able to live is precisely this collectivity and this collaboration, expressed in that law of life which is interdependence.
Practice
"What can I do right now?"
The full embrace
A hug held a few seconds longer than usual. For the duration of the embrace, let your breathing align, feel the other person's breath settle into yours. As you separate, say out loud one specific thing you are grateful to this person for.
Loving-kindness meditation
"May you be happy, may you be at peace, may you be free from suffering," for yourself, then for someone close to you, then for a widening circle.
